These steps will help you determine what type of skin care is best for your skin!
First, determine your skin type. Knowing your skin type is essential to finding the correct products to care for it. There are 4 basic types of skin, normal, oily, dry, and combination. Use this guide to help determine which type of skin you have.
• Normal skin has few imperfections, no significant sensitivities, and small pores that are barely visible.
• Oily skin has large pores. It leads to dull or shiny skin that is prone to blackheads, acne, and other blemishes that arise from clogged pores.
• Dry skin is rough, scaly, or dull. It also may be spotted with red or itchy patches. Your pores will be so small as to be practically invisible.
• Combination skin combines areas of oily, normal, and dry skin. Many people have large pores that are more oily on their foreheads, noses, and chins or otherwise known as the T-zone.
You can also have sensitive skin, which is why we recommend using new products on a small area of skin before you apply it to the entire face and neck. This way the reaction will be minimized if you have blotching, redness or irritation. If you have sensitive skin you should look at hypoallergenic skin care or skin care that is catered to your delicate skin type.

The next step is to identify any problem areas, these include but are not limited to fine lines, wrinkles, acne, redness, dry patches, excessive oil production, large pores, dull skin, acne scars, rosacea, dark spots, black heads and clogged pores. After identifying your problem areas you need to think about the regiment you are willing to stick to. We recommend washing your face 2 times per day. Not all treatment creams and lotions need to put on 2 times per day, but we recommend following the suggested usage.

Lastly, start with the basics, cleanser, toner, moisturizer and eye cream and start trying different treatment products. There are so many options, and it may take time to identify the best regime for your skin! It usually takes about 3 months to see the effects of a product, so stick with it and if you want to try something different make sure to document with before and afters! Skin care is one of the things you do not want to be frugal with. There are some great budget friendly options, but your skin is an investment.
